Bride in colour

Saturday, March 6, 2010

When Marianne showed me her styling for her big day a few weeks ago, I was completely sold to the idea. A touch of vintage, a splash of colour, a lot of music, mixed with a grain of silliness. I knew straight away it’s going to be an amazing wedding. Marianne is a true artist and opted to try something a little different. Bride in colour. I’ve photographed tons of wedding stuff but bride in colour is certainly a first.

Marianne’s colourful styling has added a bit of spark to the otherwise wet and dull weather.

Getting ready: Sister’s vintage decorated terrace house in Paddington
Shoes: Anne Klein
Ceremony: St Frances Xavier Church, Lavendar Bay
Location: Lavendar Bay
Reception: Mandalay

Here’s another quick sneak peek for now.

Marianne.

Off to another shoot now - it’s been an insanely busy wedding season - do stay tuned for more.

  • Amanda Thorson: This is a wonderful shot, I would really love to see more of this shoot!
  • Katie [Matt and Katie | Photographers]: Oh wow! She looks amazing :) Can't wait to see more. We had a bride who wore ocean blue! Yay for brides who do things their own way and are not afraid to be different! :)
