Alisa & Andrew - Destination Wedding
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Alisa & Andrew’s wedding has got to be one of my favourite weddings ever. Alisa & Andrew decided to have the wedding in a destination where they both really love, shared some memorable times together, away from the big smoke, in a funky spa town, Daylesford, famous for its natural mineral springs.
When I arrived in town, I even thought I was in Europe. This is because the town still reflects the character of their earliest heritage when Swiss-Italian immigrants settled there.
I love everything about this wedding and I have to thank my assistant, Stacey for all her help on the day.

err, no..this wasn’t the wedding car, but I really love the rusty old look. I even got to speak to the owner and apparently she’s owned this car brand new since 30 years ago.

Alisa got ready at the Station House where it maintains its original colonial style. Check this out, a 17th century painting:

You probably can’t judge a book by the cover, but you can certainly judge a wedding by the shoes:

I can tell you I really love them:

Alisa is so stunning - everything she did was elegant!

Like I said, I love everything about this wedding - the bouquet is no exception

I’ve always thought Alisa was really pretty, but she looked spectacular on the wedding day:

One last check - I caught this moment just before we left for ceremony:

They got a London Black Cab as their get away car - classy!

Just before they walked down the aisle

Got to love this portrait! This was completely natural and unstaged. Alisa and Andrew were waiting for the bridal party to get ready and I got this relax portrait.

The reception was held at Sault. Anyone who wants great food and scenic backdrop for their wedding, Sault is a must! Jodi, the owner/manager, is just awesome to work with.

Everyone had such a good time at the reception. Alisa and Andrew made the point that they really love those moments and so I decided to capture as many as possible:

Yum!

The best thing about this destination wedding is that we still got awesome lights in the middle of the night. Alisa and Andrew went outside after the meal to enjoy and take in the atmosphere. It truely was amazing seeing the sunset behind the lavender farm.

Thank you for having me as part of your awesome big day. Have a great honeymoon!
